    The Spectacular success of Young Romance and Young Love spawned dozens upon dozens of imitators, so that by 1952, there were 527 separate issues of romance comics on the market!
    But not only were Simon and Kirby the first, they were the genre's class act. Their stories were evocative, maturely themed, and powerfully written.
