The microscopic larvae cause Void Death, an infection that functions as a disease. Those that perish from it turn into rotting corpses, often with a bloated blue-gray tongue, which is actually the fanged tail of the parasitic larva inside. The larvae undergoes a second gestation before turning into adult akatasby vomiting out the akata larva and beginning the process anew.
