More than a year has passed since Hal Jordan broke free of the evil entity known as Parallax and resumed his duties as the Green Lantern of space sector 2814, and in that year a great deal has changed.

In response to a crisis, many countries closed their borders to foreign superheroes, meaning that every time Jordan performs his duty as a Green Lantern of Earth, he's breaking international law.

When a frantic search for a friend takes him inside Russian airspace, Jordan finds himself beset. The Rocket Red Brigade wants to take him down. The Justice League of America wants answers. And a mysterious enemy wants Jordan dead and his power ring for himself, as wave after wave of deadly alien bounty hunters is sent after Green Lantern.
